RiverReady tells you when a river is high enough to matter at the road crossings you drive. This page says exactly what it stores and what it doesn't. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What RiverReady does not do

Services RiverReady talks to

River levels come from the U.S. Geological Survey. Flood levels and rain forecasts come from the National Weather Service. Maps use OpenStreetMap data through OpenFreeMap. Address search uses Photon, and driving routes use OSRM. Accounts and saved roads are stored with Supabase.

When you search for a place or check a route, the text you type is sent to those services so they can answer. They are not told who you are.

Deleting your data

The You tab has two buttons. One deletes your saved places and location from this device immediately. The other deletes your account and everything stored with it — saved roads, alert settings, and any road conditions you reported. Both work without contacting anyone, and deletion is immediate and permanent.

Children

RiverReady is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

What RiverReady is not

RiverReady watches river height at road crossings. It knows nothing about ice, debris, roadworks, accidents, or official closures, and it is not an emergency service. Conditions change fast. Always look before you drive, and never drive into water.
